Public Meetings 

Tuesday, March 10, 9am - Shasta County Board of Supervisors


The board will:


- Consider contracting with Mediko Correctional Healthcare for services at the jail, including Medication-Assisted Treatment for substance users. See the staff report.


-Consider approving a number of items related to the labor group Teamsters Local 137, as well as a labor item related to the Sheriff's Administration Association.


- Consider approving renewal of a contract with the Shasta County Office of Education for the Community Connect Program, to use mental health funds for preventative purposes in young populations. HHSA staff are recommending the funding be used by SCOE.


Tuesday, March 10, 4pm - Redding Planning Commission 


Consider a rezoning application by J & L Custom Homes to subdivide a 1.65 acre parcel located at 4363 Churn Creek Road into 16 parcels. 


Wednesday, March 11, 12pm - Shasta County Public Health Advisory Board


Members will hear a presentation on Shasta's response to the measles outbreak. 


Wednesday, March 11, 6pm - Shasta County Board of Education


Board members will consider how to select from among the 32 community members who have applied to be part of a 7-11 committee, a group that will gather to advise on decisions related to surplus property. 


The board will also discuss board governance standards as they relate to concerns from member Michael Orlicky about social media posts by fellow board member Jessica French. No specific posts are cited but the agenda item mentions "concerns he has regarding trustee social media activity that relates to threats or acts of violence." 


Thursday, March 12, 2pm - Shasta Planning Commission

The state’s privacy protection agency is fining PlayOn $1.1 million for violating state law. The company, which operates the ticketing service GoFan, required students and parents to share their data to access tickets for high school events.
